Project Mission

NorCOMM (North American Conditional Mouse Mutagenesis project) is a large-scale research initiative focused on developing and distributing a library of mouse embryonic stem (ES) cell lines carrying single gene trapped or targeted mutations across the mouse genome.

Supported by a major grant from Genome Canada, NorCOMM unites expertise in cellular and functional genetics at academic centres across the country; including the Embryonic Stem Cell/Targeted Mutagenesis Facility (Univeristy of Calgary) Mammalian Functional Genomics Centre (University of Manitoba), the Centre for Modeling Human Disease (University of Toronto), the Canadian Mouse Mutant Repository (Toronto), and The Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto).
